At Alpha Montessori School, we pride ourselves on being a leading Montessori institution in Westchester, IL, since our establishment in 2018. Offering a comprehensive Montessori curriculum alongside Spanish immersion programs, we cater to children aged 2-6 through both half-day and full-day options.

We have teachers with over 20 years of experience and are Montessori certified. We have Montessori materials to provide a stimulating educational experience that builds a strong foundation for future academic success.

Our Story

Alpha Montessori School has established itself as a leading Montessori School in Westchester, Illinois, providing high-quality education. At our school, we believe in creating an environment that fosters the natural curiosity and independence of young children. Our classrooms are thoughtfully designed to offer a wide range of materials that encourage children to explore and discover the world around them at their own pace. Our experienced teachers guide and support the children, helping them to develop important skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making. Our comprehensive Montessori curriculum includes seven distinct learning areas, including practical life, sensorial, language, math, science, geography/culture, and art, which provide a well-rounded educational experience for our students.

At our institution, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our students. All our staff members are trained in first aid and CPR, ensuring that they are prepared to handle any emergency situation. With over 20 years of experience, our staff brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our classrooms. Our teacher-to-student ratio is 1:10, allowing us to provide personalized attention to each child and address their individual needs. We take pride in offering a flexible approach to education, allowing our students to learn at their own pace and pursue their interests. Additionally, we accept Illinois Action for Children, making our school accessible to families from diverse backgrounds.

We understand that families have different schedules and needs, which is why we offer a variety of programs at our institution. Our full-day programs provide a comprehensive educational experience, with a curriculum that includes a variety of subjects and activities to engage children throughout the day. Our half-day programs offer a shorter day, perfect for families who prefer a more flexible schedule or for children who may not be ready for a full-day program. We strive to provide families with the options they need to ensure that their child's education fits seamlessly into their daily lives.

We offer mixed-age group classes, which means that children of different ages learn and grow together in the same classroom. This approach is based on the Montessori philosophy of education, which recognizes that children have different developmental stages and learn in different ways. By grouping children of different ages together, we create a supportive and collaborative learning environment where children can learn from each other and develop important social skills such as empathy, cooperation, and respect. Older children have the opportunity to become leaders and mentors, while younger children benefit from observing and learning from their peers. Our mixed-age group classes allow for a more natural and holistic learning experience that prepares children for success in their academic and social lives.

I am a dual language general and special education preschool teacher, my licensure covers birth- 8 years of age. I am thrilled with my daughter’s progress and how much she has learned. One thing that was important to me was for the language of instruction to be in Spanish and for it to be consistent… which it is. My daughter was using English and Spanish 50/50 and she is now using Spanish to communicate 80% of the time which I am thrilled about. Further developing our home language was very important to me. My daughter is about to be 2 and a 1/2 and already is counting to 10 using one-to- one correspondence, has expanded her language from one word phrases to three word phrases, can identify colors, and she sings songs at home and always talks about her peers by name. It is clear that they have created a fun, safe, and nurturing environment for children to further develop in all areas. It is very apparent that the teachers love what they do in the way in which my daughter is always eager to attend. I could not be happier with the care and education my daughter is receiving.

I am a developmental therapist and I see a kiddo there every week. I could say just from being there every week for the past 4 months, this is one of the best daycare I visit. The staff are very friendly and they have a very good system going. I feel like the kiddo I see has been showing a lot of progress due to how good they are with him. I highly recommend to give it a look and consider it for your child. :)

My 2.5 year old son started at Alpha Montessori this year in February, and we have loved it! He loves going and is always so happy once we pick him up. He has been a little delayed with speech and even though he has only been there for about 2 months he is already saying a ton more words and phrases, even in Spanish too. We are also happy with his progression in doing things by himself like taking his shoes off and on and being without his special blanket and bottle during the day there. The schedule has been amazing for him and we appreciate that they have an outdoor play area which he loves as well. Highly recommend Alpha Montessori!

Couldn't be any happier for my son to attend this Daycare. Teachers are amazing, so caring and patient with the kids. My son is not only being taken care of but also is being taught. And I can definitely see it, at age 4 he knows how to add, the alphabet in English and Spanish. Knows his numbers up to 30. Knows his continents and so much more that honestly impresses me. His Spanish is so fluently and so is his English which as a Latino Family I'm extremely happy with. They keep them busy with activities that are not just fun but also educational. My SON LOVES IT!!
